yeah he's great about that. i think he reads most tweets sent to him and he's sent me 'thanks' tweets 2 or 3 times if when i've sent tweets complimenting the show.
He replied back to me as well. That's part of the reason why I like him; he's down to earth. He gets a lot of hate on here, which I don't understand.

They actually defend him against an angry mob after the cake stomping incident. What the fuck was wrong with these ancient specimens? If this happened now this sub would blow a metaphorical load and join in like a particularly large gangbang.
The entire thread is pretty much entirely O and A fans spamming obscure references and completely derailing the thread. It is a captivating sight to see, the entire fanbase on the sub completely destroying a large thread in the name of defending O and A.
Opie getting fired and receiving hate for the cake incident would have been the wrong way for him to go out. He would've thought he went out on top. Going out with a flood of hate as he fades into obscurity is the only satisfying way for Opie's accidental successful career to end.
I think people here are pissed that Opie's acting like one of those Jocktober douches that he and Ant would destroy regularly. If he
said "fuck it" and started at least trying to correct that shit I'm almost
certain that the hate would die significantly.
Not a chance. He might be acting slightly differently, but he's the same person he's always been. The people who just noticed these personal character qualities in the past couple of months won't be able to un-see them now.
I've never wanted to punch my receiver more than I have the last few months. his lack of knowledge,humor, and self awareness is driving me out the door. he's an approval seeking meat head that couldn't be trying harder to get a laugh. also sams getting a little too brave on their mic as well, but what do you expect, he's learning it from the biggest phony in radio.
