The whole "I'm tired of hearing about it" argument is pretty childish. So what? You're tired of hearing about it, how do you think people who actually deal with foreign policy and military strategy feel? We should just nuke the whole middle east because one nervous asshole in NYC is sick of hearing about it, apparently. That'll solve everything.

Im not going to get into it too deep but I have to make a point. When Jim says "pull the troops from Korea, Germany, nuke the middle east I dont care it doesnt affect me". Yes it does you simplistic monkey. Not only is there a a valid geopolitical reason for the usa to have bases in 3/4 of the countries abroad, but a direct economic reason as well. It actually has a net positive impact $ wise.
Not only that, do you think it doesnt affect you? Iran blocking the straits of Hormuz or Russia cutting off oil to W Europe wouldnt affect your portfolio, gas prices, food prices, or even comedy shows (with people cutting back on expenditures because the global economy is in a free fall)?
This is exactly why Jim was a bit of a balance between Op and Ant. Ant would have educated him, Op would have taken a few calls and that would have been the end of it. Jim would ask questions about shit like this but knew enough to defer to someone who watches the history channel all weekend.
