That's it. I'm out.

I was listening to today's show when I realised that I was actually forcing myself through listening to it. Them talking about the Sony situation felt like I was sitting in class and having to listen to students try to participate in class just to get points, while everyone else knows they're just BSing. Opie and Jim don't come up with anything interesting. Neither does Ant's show in my honest opinion.

I loved their show because it has brought me so many times to tears from laughing so fucking hard. That bit where they played Slave Girl is my favorite piece of entertainment ever. They introduced me to Louis, Bill, and Patrice. I love Dan Soder but it's just not the same with the guys at this point. The Opie hate got to me and I just can't listen to him anymore. Maybe it's just in my head, but I can hear the discomfort in the voice of anyone who tries to talk to him.

It took me from Ant's firing till now to realize that it's over. It was a slow and painful death of the show to me. It's sad because the image of the show kind of got tarnished. Instead of wrapping it up nicely like Breaking Bad (I know they're miles apart), they had to go on and bring the show to where it is. Yeah yeah yeah money and jobs and whatnot. Let's face it. They're regular people. Not artists who care about their legacy.

Done with radio. Back to Netflix.

Wanna shit in my mouth?

Yes!

This is an accurate description of Jimmy's personality at this point

True!

i've gotten to the point where i'll listen if i like the third mic or guest, but pretty much tune out the rest. its definitely fallen a long way :(

While I certainly won't begrudge you the rest of your impassioned rant, this little piece is rather sad.

I find it helps to listen later on and just forward through the opie. I'm usually finished the show in 45 minutes.

Yea I jewtube it after work

You lost me at "realised" you fucking Brit :P

So you're all-in with tapping out?

what i do now is load the mp3 into audacity and cut the whole first break. makes the show a bit better, still haven't listened to todays tho.

Twice this week I only listened for 2 hours...As soon as Jimmy left, I knew there was no reason to torture myself listening to opie say "hey troy get in here and talk about getting your ass eaten or wearing diapers"

I don't know how that stuff is funny after the first time it's brought up and discussed...But the opster thinks it's hilarious and needed to be brought up for a week.

Show is 100% unlistenable if Jimmy isn't in. Tried listening to CM Punk yesterday and had to shut it off after 10 minutes, because it was terrible radio (in my opinion)

I just renewed my sub today since cancelling months ago because my phone sucks and I can't get reception anywhere while driving so I can't use Pandora. I took a glance back at the show and it was just meh. Dan Soder is ok, but it sorely lacks Anthony.

I just use my trial subscription to listen to Ron & Fez. Try it, you'll like it.

Who is this Fez person you speak of? All I hear is Ron and Chris Stanley.

Don't forget Pepper Hicks

That yes man Hicks has mortally wounded The Ron Show.

You aren't "out". You'll be back listening again next week.

Just when I was out, they pulled me right back in

Somebody else suggested it, but I agree.. There needs to be a separate thread and / or subreddit for these, what I'd like to call, "Suicide Notes"

These are less suicide notes and more eulogies at a funeral.

tap out of life.

If you feel the need to type four heartfelt paragraphs about why you don't want to listen to a radio show anymore, maybe you should use your new found free time to take a hard look at your life.

The irony of you.

That's just, like, your opinion man.
