O&J Sony payola

Let's see, what are the last three movies that were just unbelievable, funny, "best movie he's done", etc? Unbroken, The Interview, and Top Five.

What do these all have in common? Sony made them.

Keep takin' those envelopes, fellas. Fucking hacks.

Or, Sony is in with SXM and is pushing them on the shows.

When was the last time a guest came in and they told them their movie sucked? You're reaching.

You idiot the only one of these Sony made was The Interview.

Unbroken was made by Universal and Top Five was made by Paramount.

There's plenty of shit to spew about the show so make it something that's true.

If O&J are getting payola from Sony, they must have a huge audience still.

But-but-but which delusion are we supposed to believe? That O&J's audience is down to 2500, or that they're media titans shilling for Sony dollars?

It's almost always the case that if a movie gets a ton of publicity, a publicity tour where the film's actors appear on every show that will have them and a lot of advertising; the movie stinks and the studio is desperate to get a big first week box office before people know how bad it is. (This does not apply to franchise films such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Twilight, etc).

The Sony emails are clear about how awful "The Interview" is and Opie swears it's hilarious and a really great movie.

I don't think they're getting a tasssste.

I think they just know that their show is shit, and no successful person in their right mind should ever go on it.

So when they get anyone attached to any big movie, they jump at the chance to slobber all over them.

Those are three wide releases with A-list stars attached to them. I don't know for sure, but I'd venture to guess that the stars of those movies also appeared on talk shows across other media platforms like ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. It just seems reasonable to think that one company that consistently has products to promote and another with a platform to promote them on would have a working relationship.

It's funny to think that this sub complains up and down that the show doesn't get A-listers... but as soon as they do, this place either bitches about payola or is shitting all over the place because they didn't go on Ant's show.
