Every time Opie is around he has the dynamic of a boss nobody likes but they've got to tolerate, laugh at all his crummy jokes, never bust him out for stupidity or lying. Any time they ever get too careless around him and act like they do with true friends, they get treated to an arrogant and pompous lecture about his rank.
