I too was a big Opie and Anthony fan. Once Ant got the axe I jumped on board the Ant podcast. Haven't listened to Opie radio too much, not because I hate opie but because i just like Ant and the Joe Rogan podcast better and they produce enough content to keep me going. The real question is that obviously everyone here is butt hurt that that the radio show is not the same it used to be. I get it. It is a bummer, and I understood the first month worth of people complaining, but how can this still be going on. Why complain when you can just jump ship to a podcast and never look back? It seems like everyone on this sub just listens to the show so they can pick it apart and thats the only reason anyone ever posts to this sub. Move on people. Your moms box.

Yea man and thats good. No issues with that. Just feel like a majority of people aren't here for the same reasons you and I are. Only things that seem to get upvotes are the anti Opie stuff.

I am sure when he stops trying to be this hip, wannabe cool guy, who lies about basically everything(maybe it's a mental illness, though) people would have nothing to hate on. But time and time again, Opie does or says things multiple times a day that gives most people douche chills.

Why listen then? I love Jimmy just as much as the next guy but if Jimmy is a plus one, and O is a minus 1 then they kinda cancel each other out. Why not just listen to something like Rogan or pay for Ant which is a plus 1 without the minus?

I only listen to youtube clips of certain breaks or guests who are on that I want to listen to. Not worth listening to 3 hours of Opie trying to cakehorn himself into every topic and make it about himself.

Ok well looking at your comment history you pretty much bash the show on a daily basis, consistently for the past month at least (figured thats about as far back I need to check). So.... Seems like you still listen or at least listen enough to have fodder to come here and complain everyday about it. So back to my original question. Why come and spit out hate daily? Why not just move on?

and i am not trying to troll ya or anything. Im sure people have a legit answer to my question, such as "I listen because i enjoy hating on opie" or "i listen because Jimmy and the guests are worth listening too." Just haven't heard that response yet so just curious.

On my Facebook I belong to some groups for old music. For instance, I'm on an 80s music page.

On these groups, it's the exact same shit. They complain endlessly about everything that their favorite bands made after 1989, and they act like everything they recorded between 1980 and 1989 is solid gold.

It's human nature. People are nostalgic.

When I was a teenager I used to subscribe to Rolling Stone. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why Dylan and Springsteen were on the cover half the time.

But as an adult, I get it. The writers of that shitty magazine have been waiting for Bob Dylan to make an album as good as Highway 61 Revisited. And those cunts have been waiting for FORTY NINE FUCKING YEARS.

As a teen, I read their articles and thought to myself "why would anyone listen to this horseshit when they could be listening to The Clash?" But the writers just couldn't give up on the idea that Bob Dylan would return to his former glory.
