Thursday. When the black guy was on the long, unstoppable rant about how horrible it is to be black in America, he said something about being "damn near rich". The Opester thought about it for a beat and said, "What kind of rich are you?"
Was actually a good line.

Opie seems to throw out more racist lines than he used to, like the thing about singers "putting some nnnnn..." into the song. I think it's some force of nature, like water finding its own level. Or he always had that streak in him but Anthony always beat him to the punch.

People who brag about their money or spend it on dumb, tacky things are called "N-word rich" by racists. This show's former co-host used the term often.
During this phone call, O&J were taking cheap shots at the caller, impatient to end the conversation. The caller didn't hear Opie because he was in a foaming tirade. The joke was funny only due to Opie's rare display of comic timing. Only Jim got it...and smartly moved on.
Opie kept chortling at himself, though, like the fleshy-titted bag of dicks that he is.
