it took me two years as a listener to loathe opie, quit for a year in 2010 because of it, but i loved jim and ant too much to stay away. no the show never will be the same, but you learn to tolerate him as best you can.

I find it hilarious how "real" Opie tries to be with personal stories and real life things, when Ron never gives any real life info and puts on 10 times the better show, he mentioned he has kids to a guest, and I was unsure if he was blowing smoke up his ass or not.

Rons persona is enough to carry the show even with 1 half of it gone.

Is it getting O&A back together or is it simply getting Anthony and Jimmy back together? I'm not quite sure Opie is really needed at this point even though he was the person who created it.

For some reason I tend to believe that if Opie wanted to continue with O&A he could have gotten it to happen(maybe not on SiriusXM but online and done somewhere in the city instead of Anthony's basement). I really think Opie wanted to break away from Anthony and this was the perfect opportunity to do that.

Through nothing other than blind optimism I'm still holding a torch for a reunion. The reality probably is that the show as we knew it died when Ant was fired...but I just can't help but hold out hope.

Whenever Jimmy shows up to TACS is like the old O&A days when Opie was out of the studio.

I want to hear Ant and Jimmy's off air conversation after last Wednesday's TACS.
