Anthony is a guy that lets people know he doesn't like to go places a lot. It's probably almost always nothing personal, he's just a sensitive guy and I can relate. I bet the reason he didn't go is simply because the idea of attending the funeral was too uncomfortable for him...so if it's not one of his parents fuck it.
Unless there's any overwhelming evidence of him attending other people's funerals (all I can think of is Patrice's because that was so high profile, he would have been scorned for not attending), then I would say it was just discomfort.
