I view the 2007-ish era as the show's high point so part of me kind of likes that they did this. I wouldn't have wanted Jimmy fired but him only being on 3-4 shows a week allowed for more Louis CK, Patrice, Bill Burr, etc. Plus it must have been a relief only having to suffer through his tangents and tirades 3 days a week.

What do you guys think?

As much as I like Patrice and Louis and Burr, Jimmy is still top banana on the show. He was absolutely hilarious in those days, less self righteous (I still love the fella tho) and rapid fire all show.

Holy shit look at this guys post history, this guy seriously has some propaganda he's trying to push.

sometimes his baby raping jokes would interrupt a good conversation and i dont like that

I wish you were explaining why a man holding his hand on your shoulder was about to behead you. You're stinking up this board with your posts. I think I found Opie's secret card. Change the 'narrative'.

Wow I thought you were just paranoid till I looked as his post history.

We can't all post gems like you do. Ooof. Take a look at your own post history.

You're a man of sfaccimma!

I always suspected it was Opie planting that seed to get Jimmy fired. He wanted the show to be about social culture and less hilarious Norton.

Just my opinion, but I feel the same about what happened with Ant. I feel like Opie wanted him gone. He probably directed Ant's tweets to management on a silver platter. Can't prove that of course, just a gut feeling after listening for 10 plus years. Opie wants to be the center of attention. Now he just has to get rid of Norton.

I got into O and A around 2007 when they were on K-Rock. I loved listening to them and Patrice around that time. Didn't start listening to them on XM till 2010 when they re-upped their deal. I wasn't a big fan of Jimmy during that era, I liked Patrice a lot more (I found Jimmy a lot better when Patrice was there).

But then when I started listening to their XM shows from around that era I found that Jimmy was much better. It’s clear that Jimmy wasn't happy on K-Rock and it showed in how he was on the show at that time.

Still loved O and A from that era, Patrice, Louie, Bill Burr, Geraldo, and all those other comedians made for a lot of good radio around that time. In the end their stint on terrestrial radio from 06-09 ended up being a good thing for them. A lot of people I knew who got into them did so around that era. I wonder how much more successful their run on CBS radio would have been had they had much more creative freedom. Maybe they would have gotten more traction or maybe it wouldn’t have mattered too much since the medium was just dying.

You been a fucktard since you showed up, and just continue to be an utter rambling asshat.

How much is viral spiral paying you?

Jimmy is funny, but that's all he is. He doesn't sound natural in conversation like Opie, Anthony, or Ron. He's just a constant barrage of attempts at humor.

Pre-Ant firing, that was his entire job.

When was Ant fired? Like 4 days ago, right?
