The other day, Jim fired off a joke referring to NPR interviewing Bill Cosby. He said "I know what the N stands for" and then continued to come up with words for "P" and "R." After he came to the conclusion of the P being "perpetrated" and the "R" was implied to be rape. And Opie...well he couldn't hang at that intellectual level.
when he asked that dude (was it Jerry? the Jerry?) "why don't you worry about your own pocket money?". only a complete douche-chilly douchebag could be able to put together and actually utter those words in that order.
when he yelled out "bo-ring!" in the middle of the phoner with Damone from "Fast Times........." and then, later in the show, told a regular comedian guest that he did it, all proud and shit. ugh.
any time he piles on a more or less defenseless underling, and encourages/enlists Sam to do the same. it's so strange that FH Riley's is 100% against bullying, yet it seems to be Opie's entire schtick.
screaming "how does it feel?!?" into the face of a dude in a headlock like some "5th guy in a street fight, after it's already been decided" douchebag-coward
any time he screams
his general "thinks he's an actual, good broadcaster" vibe/demeanor
Any time this fuckwit has ever done a "list" segment. It is the epitome of lazy, mid-morning Midwest FM garbage. The balls on him to do a 40 minute list segment on 1993 trivia and then do Jocktober...
He plays them straight, he plays them as ironically antagonistic to the audience as "the bit," but every goddamn time he does them...Terrible.
I hate how he then does a radio voice impression, and will be like top ten blah blah bah. He knows it's hack to do the lists and such, yet he still does them because he is on that level of a morning zoo guy. Opie really has no talent.
I didn't mind that one time when he forced Sam to read everything that occurred in 1993. What's really unabashedly hack is when he lists goddamn celebrity birthdays.
One of the times that sticks out to me was that time Gene Simmons was in, I believe it was the infamous "maybe I'll fuck your girlfriend" episode. He was just being a totally rude, demeaning fucking asshole, and they just sat there and took it. Opie sat there an kissed his ass, and never told him to fuck off or get out of the studio. WNEW days, he sure would have. I was like "What happened to this guy?"
It's like the part in Casino where Nicky can't knock the guy out with one punch anymore towards the end. "Must a drank too much..."
Opie's worst moment isn't even half as bad as the time Bill Burr went on Conan and shed crocodile tears over Patrice to show everyone that he is "tough on the outside, but soft on the inside". The only thing worse than that was when brainless redditors ate it up by the spoonful.
It's called phony white-guilt, and there is a shitload in here. The only weapon in here is down-voting a comment from someone who doesn't agree with them, not a very reliable weapon though.

Good god. At least it'll keep Jimmy in good shape, carrying that dead weight through an entire show every morning.

I know that's a joke, but i fear not having anybody to riff off of could atrophy his funny muscle.

Wish I remembered which show it was from. He does it a few times and it's so bad. I'd love to listen again if anyone can come up with a link

I'll go a little obscure...

"and such"...whenever I read this phrase, it's in Uncle Paul's voice.

The time he told the caller that his opinion didn't matter unless the caller had his own morning talk show.

Rich gets a call from the show and thinks he might be talking to Jay Thomas. Jimmy starts to fuck with him, Opie completely misses the boat.
