Opie talking about Run to the Hills as if it were Iron Maiden's 'Spirit in the Sky'

Opie: 'I know you like going beyond the hits, but there's no way anyone can leave Run to the Hills out of their top 5 Maiden songs.'

If you know anything about Iron Maiden, you know this analysis is essentially the intellectual equivalent as 'Donkey Kong is the best game ever.' There's easily 5-6 songs that could considered equally as popular as Run to The Hills (i.e. Number of the Beast, Two Minutes to Midnight, The Trooper, Aces High, etc.). When I was watching the Miami Dolphins game last week, they played Hallowed Be Thy Name going into a break. Plus, beyond their better known songs, Iron Maiden has an extremely deep catalog. So basically there's absolutely nothing shocking about leaving 'Run to the Hills' off your top 5 Maiden songs. I mean if you were someone who had never heard of Iron Maiden, you would almost start to assume they were one-hit wonders based on Opie's analysis. Even my four year old son who still eats ketchup knows better than that. No doubt that Run to the Hills is one of their most popular songs, but speaking on the assumption that it's universally accepted as their magnum opus is absurd. I guarantee you that Opie is posing as a fan. If you went into his closet he probably has zero Maiden concert shirts.

I read through that waiting for that fucking chip peckah reveal, what the Fuck dude you didn't even manage to do that. Fuck your long ass story you are literally worse than Opie

No shit, who the fuck cares this much to the point of writing a goddamn essay

I don't listen. To iron maiden and run to the hills is the only song I instantly know from them

Run to the Hills has such a distinctive intro that it cannot be ignored. It was the song that made me a fan.

I bet Opie is a huge Ugly Kid Joe fan.

For everyone here too young to remember 1992. And yes, I bet you're right.

The song Neighbor was actually good

Ugh, I forgot about that guy.

Spirit in the Sky is a great song, but I've never seen it used as the musical equivalent of Citizen Kane.

My top 5 Maiden songs would be Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

It's long.

Their biggest song is Fear of the Dark. Followed by Number of the Beast and Run to the Hills. If you don't have all three on the top five list then you're just trying to be different and interesting.

I'd have Fear of the Dark in my top five but not the other two, I think I've just heard them too much...they are great songs though.

The Beatles 5 biggest songs are "Hey Jude", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", "She Loves You", "Get Back", and "Let It Be" and I wouldn't put any of those in even my top 25 favorite Beatles songs. Bigger hits doesn't necessarily mean better song. In my opinion "Hallowed Be Thy Name" is by far the best Iron Maiden song.

I heard he threw their demo out of his car window.

It's my favorite Maiden song but there are lots of great ones.

I just come here to enjoy the hate, I didn't expect to actually agree with anything but yeah you're totally right. It's in the top 10 every time but it's not their Final Countdown. Also, Opie is a boob.

stick a sock in it you metal nerd, it has to be in the top five biggest hits.

plus this is an argument they had with that fat guy from that metal show a long time back on WNEW.
