How much are you paying for SiriusXM?

Not an Opie post, so put away your knives ...

I cancelled my subscription today thanks to the ol' auto charge the credit card for twice the rate as last year trick.

They said the cheapest I could get Sirius with the XM channels was $130 for a year.

I paid $86 for the last year. What are you lasagna hat-wearers paying?

Zero. Every 30 days I make a new email address and do the 30 day trial all over again. Well I used to. Now if I want to listen to the show I use shoutcast.

Yeah, that's an option, but I was hoping to keep my actual radio working in the car so I can listen without the delay, and so I can hear Ron & Fez which don't seem to be on SC.

$0, never have paid. I just steal the content I'm interested in

Zip zero stingy with dinero

Free fifty free

Zero point zero.

Get a smartphone. Download the show from one of various free sources. Put on to phone. Plug phone into car stereo. Now you can pause whenever you want, listen when you get out of the car too,etc

Without ads to boot

Full price - the amount you get off for one year commitment. I didn't even think about canceling and trying to get the discount

Edit forgot to mention I have top package so I can use app and listen to all sports broadcasts as well.

Cancelled in July and then came back a few days later with a 5 months for $20 promo. I'll cancel again in Dec and if the deal isn't good, I'll stay cancelled. Not paying for shit radio content.

Good to know that deal exists. Thanks!

I've been pulling this gig for about 4 years now. I always forget to call and "cancel" in advance, but when they charge me the full ridiculous price, I call customer support, and tell them I want to cancel. They try to give me some sad offer and I say that I want the same deal I just had - 5 months for $20. Sometimes they'll put you on hold for a second, but they always give that deal.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, when they process that deal, they then process a refund of the difference (between $20 and whatever they charged me.)

Nice! I forgot to try the hang up if you don't get what you want and call back for a different representative trick. 5 months for $20 would be AOK.

Nothing. Still on my 1 year free trial from buying my Challenger. Might consider keeping it depending on what they'll offer rate wise. I've heard some people got ridiculously low offers while canceling during the Anthony incident so I'm curious to see.

Honestly there's not point in paying for a subscription when the clips are readily available for free else where. Before the split, I would have argued that people should have paid for a subscription if for nothing but out of obligation to support the show if they enjoyed listening to it. I don't see how anyone could condone the new format in the same manner, however, and feel compelled to pay for a mediocre product that they won't listen to on a daily basis.

They were offering me like $80 for a year (before taxes) and it also didn't include online. I live a few miles from work and 90% of the time I would listen would be online. They told me I could get the online only one for $15 a month. I could not cancel fast enough.

Nothing, but 2week free preview (basic) right now. I got an offer for $74.99/yr in the mail though. Definitely not the premium package though.

0.00 USD. I listen podcast style. It's great.

Zero now, but I think it was like $110 last year for the "Premier" package so I could have Stern as an option.

If I subbed again, it would probably just be for music and Stern's archives. Can't imagine I would suddenly get turned on to O&J.

The only thing I miss is flipping through music channels at the moment though. Podcasts are good.

$154 was what they charged my card, apparently for the Premier Package because "the package you had (Sirius + XM) no longer exists" The rep offered a $20 rebate, but then wouldn't even talk to someone else to take more off. Sounds like it's worth a call to ask for a better rate based on answers in here.

I bought a "lifetime subscription" when it was still just XM for $200ish. I'm just waiting for those shit bags to come up with a way to revoke it.

The rules are different depending on when you got your lifetime sub. I have two family members with them and missed the last window when I realized they both had recouped all their money and more.

I'm looking into buying one off of someone if I can get away with it. I'd love to never have to deal with the company but still get Ron & Fez, Opie & Yimmy, Stern, Jay Thomas, and especially the NFL and MLB for when I have to drive during games.

Zero. When Ant was fired I took the 2 radios out of me and the SO's vehicles before they sent deactivation signals. 3 months later reconnected and everything's worked fine since early October. Even just bought am old XM boombox to use in the house!

I have a lifetime sub from way back when XM did that. My wife's car we pay $6 a month for the full package. We threatened to cancel several times after Ant was fired and the lowest we could get was $6/mo or $72/year.

I was on a family member's plan that knocked some money off the price, but they wouldn't play ball at all. I said I've read online that people are paying $75 for Sirius with XM channels and they said that's not true. Bummer.
