Is anybody else getting annoyed with commercials on Anthony Cumia Show?

I feel that the fact i and thousands of others are paying for this service should mean there are no commercials, maybe 1 but not whats Ant up to 4 now?

If it helps to get him a studio in NYC to get better guests, then it's worth sitting through a 30 second ManGrate or Dale Bonfatass commercial.

You pay for cable TV and get commercials, pay for SiriusXM and get commercials, Let's not pretend Ants doing something crazy here. Its a 2 hour show with about 3 to 4 minutes of commercials. It's all good.

The difference is here were only paying for TACS, unlike cable where you get how many different channels and shows and programming options.

Bullshit.

1-I never liked the fact that their was commercials on Xm

2-HBO is $13/mo (just twice the cost of TACS) & they can make fuckin "Game of Thrones" as well as a bunch of other shows and a few original movies a year. If they can do it without commercials Anthony could afford his stupid show in his basement without commercials. Can u imagine how pissed people would be if they put commercials on during "Game of Thrones"?

Charging people for a podcast is crazy in and of itself. No way should a paying customer be forced to listen to that shit. I'm very close to cancelling my sub and going back to pirating it. At least the Pirates cut off the empty space at the beginning and end of the show.

It sucks that pay services have commercials. Haven't listened to TACS 6 weeks but the commericals weren't too bad. Hopefully he hasn't gone overboard with them.

DALE BODANZA

He needed the money!!!

Oh!!!

A paid podcast to have live reads and ads is a little bit much. Most podcasts are free so you understand the ads. But when you're paying for the service, of which 99% of his competition is free, it gets annoying.

It's honestly a couple of minute spots over 2 hrs. I Really don't think its that bad at all. Sirius charged and buried us with spots. Especially around holidays. 2-3 mins out of 2 hrs can't really be that unreasonable. Thanks for hangin in there though.

I agree with idiot here. Drop the 5 minutes of commercials and just up the subscription rate to 20 bucks a month...

Lol, no.

Yeah, no

I think the commercials shouldn't be part of the show. 2 hours of content and then 5 minutes of commercials. All he needs to do differently is run the show for 125 minutes instead of 120 minutes.

Which he did on Thursday

The cunts on this board find the gayest shit to cry about.

Yes. Paying 7 bucks a month and sitting through commercials is bullshit. Ant even admitted that it was because he's a greedy fuck on the JRE.

It'll hurt him in the end. When people are debating whether to keep paying for a show that is just "ok" but they barely have time to watch it, the fact that he does commercials too isn't going to help keeping the fan base happy

Anthony needs those sponsors man. Gotta remember the show is still new and he needs them to keep it going.

That's why I'm glad I get them for free.

No

From what I remember when he first started talking about creating the show, he openly said it would be a paid service but to my knowledge I never heard him say it would be commercial free.

So?

Does he have live reads AND commercials? Was thinking of subbing cause I had to let go of O&J but no thanks, not for a 2 hour/4-day a week show

There's a Dale Bondanza commercial just prior to the show starting. The rest are live-reads in show with graphics behind him

I love commercial s

I've never seen a fan base that cares about the hosts making a lot of money the way O&A fans do. Performers make lots of money, their careers dip, they make less money.

It's just 2 commercials and when he does live reads it's not like he reads it straight from the copy. I don't mind it at all.

Anthony is so good with the live reads it counts as material. I love the dale bondanza shit

Don't bother me none.

I don't mind it

nigga needs some blackjack scratch

Yes, it's a paid service. Yes, ads are annoying. But, Anthony is in a position to offer limited ads. He has the subscriber base.

What's the alternative - No ads but a $12/mo fee or free service with 30 mins+ of ads? It's all about striking a proper balance.

If/when he starts pulling TV bullshit by dedicating 1/3 of the screen to ads during actual content, then I'd be pissed.

$12 a month? How about he works harder with live shows and increasing subscribers and also, be willing to make less money now that he doesn't have a corporate job. You guys defending him sounds like defending women with high alimony based on "used to a certain lifestyle". Anthony fucked up and lost his job. It's not any of the fans fault

You're right - it isn't the fans' fault. So you either "suffer" through three minutes of ads in a two hour show, or don't subscribe.

Honestly, if the show were free - you'd still be complaining about too many ads. And you'd complain about the admission price of live events, too.

Also, any self employed person has an obligation to make as much money as they can. Doctors, lawyers, tradesman - you name it. If they don't work, if they don't charge a certain amount for their services, they are only harming themselves. You only have so many revenue earning years of life.

So, stop harping on what Anthony charges. No price point/ad time would satisfy every fan.

Well, I don't subscribe. I Cancelled my Sirius Xm before Anthony was fired because the show wasn't as good podcasts. I have way more than enough free podcasts to fill my work day (and the free podcasts never have more than like 4 commercials. I just use the skip ahead button).i wouldn't pay $7 for just 1 show, especially since I know I don't have 2 hours a day to actually watch a show. Anthony's whole business plan is offensive to me

Lol, no.
