I was one of the first to sign up to his new show, but I cancelled my subscription last week. The racial stuff was exhausting. I barely think about it in my life, I avoid the media for the race baiting pieces of shit they are, but I tune into Anthony to find he's completely bought into the delusion that this is "news". I'm watching him watch videos that I didn't click on when they were first posted on reddit. I want to be entertained, not watch youtube videos with the White Trash commentary track switched on. I couldn't make it through a show anymore.

His appearance on Bobby's podcast made me realize I made a wise decision. That was a free podcast and a better show than anything he's done since the O&A days. Just funny people sitting around in a room making each other laugh.

I love Anthony. I love Opie. I love Jimmy. That hasn't changed. I love all the comedians that come on from time to time. I knew his show would suck after a while. I knew doing it from his house was a mistake. I knew he was pouring money into something that would be better spent on a new york studio, but I did give him a chance.

I hope something better happens in the future.

Yeah he doesn't talk about race all the time...and if he does he throws out incredibly funny jokes that you won't hear anywhere else and no, not the same old jokes. It's really scary to see this still popping up months and months on when people can sit down for themselves and watch one of his shows and count the minutes he actually spends ranting on race and find how wrong they are. The worst that ever got was the opening breaks of the OnA show towards the end.

I want to like Anthony's show more than I do, but it's becoming way too visual. I usually download the RSS and listen in my car and he doesn't really describe what he's watching at all. I like the show, but I want to be able to just listen and not miss anything.

Agreed, even watching it the visual is nice and all and it is sometimes funny to see Ant interact with the video but hopefully that novelty will wear off and go back to the funny comments. I know the point has been made over and over again but a permanent co-host would help a lot.

The show is way too much of anthony discussing news and youtube clips by himself. He tends to be much better at talking about things from his life and goofing on other people in the room. Problem is its not funny goofing on rat or keith the cop since theyre not funny interesting or good victims...and he seems to be recycling the same old stories and rants..not really much talk about his life or experiences.

Funny I was thinking about this today as well.

I promoted the shit out out the show from day one, and lasted for 3 months, then unsubbed. Summer is over, dont have the time anymore, plus it did get a little stale for me (but i was never a big "radio" guy to start with anyway-even oanda). For others who havent checked it out, do so you might like it. At least check it out for 1 month.

Anthony is great. But he is going to wither away if he keeps down this path. He has to try to get back into the mainstream consciousness. He cant remain with his niche demographic of 30-40,000 fans.

He has to hook up with a support structure ie a major company. Or go work with lazlow or something. Try to get a Daily Show type thing with fox or the blaze, anything that will give him access to major personalities and resources.

Its a waste of talent for him to be couped up in his house.

Regarding the money thing, he would be ok even if he retired today, so thats not an issue. And he is making plenty off of TACS.

What are you talking about? Roland is a powerhouse of professionalism and work ethic. Say what you want about his belly, but Roland got great guests and reached out and spoke articulately with a lot of publicists to get guests on the show. I mean he even got Paris Hilton from Oxygen network, which turned out to be an amazing show/interview. Hell, the man deserves a pizza party. I'd gladly send some pizzas over to give Roland a pizza party.

We can't know whats going on behind the scenes, but what he presents it is that he doesn't take it too seriously and barely makes it downstairs in time for the show.

This is why it is getting a bit stale.

He needs to leave the house constantly so he has new things to talk about, well defined segments on movies, video games, pop culture, etc instead of the meandering ramble we have now.

Most of all, he needs a regular, or semi-regular cohost.

How is his solo show? I've only listened to the podcasts and find them pretty weak. Anthony is still funny to me, but I've never heard anything worth subscribing, and I end up fast-forwarding the boring race discussions. The cheesy no-royalty intro guitar riffs are also depressing, but maybe that's just the pod-a-cast.

I'll be honest, I wish he'd get someone like Mike Brown to be a full time cohost.

I do know, every clip I've seen on YouTube looks uncomfortable. Maybe it's something his viewers get used to. He most likely needs a 2nd person to talk to but I fear if he did get someone it would be someone painfully unfunny.
