I was listening to an old clip of them complaining about krock telling them to clarify references and let the audience know who's talking. Ant likened the show to a soap opera where you just keep tuning in and you'll pick up on it.

There's nothing worse than Opie saying "breaking the forth wall here but..." and saying something mind-numbingly obvious.

I remember when Justin Bartha (from the National Treasure movies - nobody would blame you for not knowing who the fuck he is) was on Ron and Fez and was a complete douche, O&A played the clip, and Opie spent forever building up; "In a second, I'm going to explain the radio genius of Ronnie B". The "big reveal", that us non-radio folk were on the edge of our seats for, was that Ronnie B had chosen to argue with Justin Bartha about his specific comments rather than just attacking as would happen on O&A.

I'm not saying I preferred Ronnie's way to the O&A way; the guy was a fucking dickbag and whatever trashing he got was fine with me. But you do not have to be a fucking radio veteran to understand what Ronnie was doing. It was great, but not complicated. Typical Opie overstating his importance and using up air time.

You can always tell how stupid somebody is by how stupid he assumes the people around him are.

Coming from a man that's incredibly stupid, it's bizarre that he truly believes a majority of the listeners are mouth breathing cretins.
