And in addition to this thankless undertaking, he also has developed a repertoire of characters including 'opie', 'the opster', and 'the psycho' to name a few. The series of changing faces illuminates and reflects the complex dynamic between the man 'Gregg Hughes' and the many masks he wears. All this just so that he can put a smile on all the listeners faces each and every day.
Precisely. We all don different masks from time to time. Some are physical, while others are metaphorical. The action of putting on a mask doesn't inherently change your behavior, but it's human nature to usurp a new role. I find the dichotomy fascinating, and it's something I've experienced in my own life, if I may share a personal anecdote with you guys; One time my muddah told me "Hey chippah, smear some shoe polish on your face and climb into Mommy's bed. But first, go into the kitchen and grab a brillo pad and the salami from the fridge".
