I agree with all the hate going on in this sub and I think I said when it happened that the show effectively died with Patrice.
So let's harken back to the golden years, what is people's favourite episode? You can only choose one; it's going to be hard but makes it more interesting.
My vote: Anthony's Birthday with Patrice and Louie
Highlights- -Patrice is in a good mood -Billy Mac -The Sean Bell verdict; Patrice vs. Ant -Patrice gets a bill collector -Wesley Snipes goes to jail(!) -call from scorch -call from Ronnie B -Patrice shits on Nick Carter, Nick surprisingly has a good joke -The Sean Bell verdict announced: Patrice, Louie and Ant discuss (extensive) -Patrice appraises Ant's friend -"Billy, can I please ask you a question? let's stop this fiasco, just tell us how you flooded the black community with crack..." (!!) -Patrice O'Neal's Illuminati paranoia, Ant and Louie rebuttal (!!!) - the jokes throughout this are fucking hilarious -Ant's long island fortification begins; Louie and Ant make observations, conversations on security (!) -Call from Joe Rogan, continued talks of security. Patrice is amazed at Ant's paranoia with its subtle racial implications (!!!) - The call from Joe is when things really get funny -Patrice's thoughts on china (!!!), segues into: -Pussy racism (!!!!) - Patrice's energy in this is fucking hilarious
And culminates in one of Ant's greatest lines in the history of the show on his birthday.
Although Colin is my favourite guest of O&A with Patrice being a very, very close second, this particular episode just had that providential thing about it where the atmosphere shows why radio/podcasting is an art form in it's own right. It's like the Illmatic of the show. My vote for the greatest show in O&A history.

Them ripping in to Yakov's Dinner Theater for like 3 hours. Also, Vos accidentally giving out his password(s) on air and the listeners ruining his life in a matter of minutes.

the memorial episode was absolutely insane. it was like everyone's brains were working on overdrive to stop themselves from just mourning, loudly on air. i've never heard so many brilliantly riffed lines in my life. this is definitely the best episode of them all

norton roast for sure, cant count how many times i listened to that one, i know pretty much every good line like a favorite album.
perfect mix of colin, vos, patrice just shitting on norton but always going back to vos.
some great lines from that episode
"you know norton is shaped like any container you pour him into"-patrice
"i wanna know when you went form hack to angry hack"-vos
plus some of the most graceful bombs i have ever heard, and to top it all off opie barley says a word and doesnt interrupt the funny.

From start to finish? Maybe not the best, but easily top 5.
"Tequila and Doughnut Day"
Top of the show starts slow with Erock doing way too much show prep to shit on Scott and Todd. Instead of Scott and Todd, a dog pile starts on him immediately and slowly snowballs. Ant gives Erock a "D". Young Erik retreats and returns with a surprise. Tequila and Doughnut Day motherfucker!!!
Erock and Sal get hated on, because everyone declares the bit a disaster before it even starts. But the Sex Bagel pulls one of the most epic start to finish shows.
Bonus: A Rich Vos appearence and the very first introduction of DENNY FALCONE. So with the birth of our Piss Lord, this is pretty much Christmas.

It's magical. The whole thing kicks off when Mike Birbiglia actually responds to one of Vos's poorly conceived insult jokes. The whole thing escalates into everybody basically airing their grievances against Vos. Roland even joins in eventually (1:49:00), and destroys Vos.

The Rich Vos Roast. Bobo's up/down game with Patrice. Patrice was on fire that whole episode. IIRC the second day of the Lady Di Internship was incredible, but the Bella Knox segment was frustrating.

Spinning Wheel of Death/Most Vicious Show Ever. Bob Kelly, Vos, Norton, Ant and Opie obliterate each other for about 2 hours straight. Mocking Ant's party, smashing Vos' daughter as a whore a cunt (!!!), Burn Victim Bobby Kelly, Paralyzed Opie (One of the only times Opie ever took a quality trashing, simply fantastic) and plenty, plenty more.

God, that's a good question. Im not sure how it holds up today, but the Live In Philly show from WNEW is def in my top 5, with the 'dead monkey hummer' and the mom blowing a fan out in the parking lot while other fans tended to her child in a stroller, holy shit was that funny. I was a fan hook line & sinker after that one.
If my memory serves correct, the one where Bill Burr had come back from Sweden & Anthony started doing "Swedish Dice" was one of my all time favorites too. "Come to my house, ve'll have a par-tee!"
