A few years ago Martin Bashir savagely accused Sarah Palin of being a racist and went way over the line and had to apologize. At the time they played the audio of his apology Opie suggested that Al Sharpton was the reason he had to apologize, as if Al Sharpton would ever defend Sarah Palin. Everything Bashir said about Palin was taking the words right out of Sharpton's mouth, but Opie is too fucking stupid to know that.

Every opinion Opie has is something Jimmy or Ant has already said on the show. When he tries to step out ahead of them and anticipate what the opinion is going to be he makes a fool of himself and they have to politely disagree and then inform him what his opinion on this matter actually should be for future reference.

There's a reason that on the show the only people who ever actually argued back and forth about any political issue were Ant and Jimmy, because they actually had thought about it and formed an opinion of their own. All Opie ever did besides totally agree with either one of them was say that he's not as far to the right as Ant is, which means nothing.

He meditates and has out of body experiences why would he vote?

This country is abysmal when it comes down to people who don't vote. It's not like Opie is all by himself here.
