Holy shit man, there are so many rants that Opie went on throughout the years that were just fucking boring and uninteresting to ALL of the listeners that Ant worked his ass off to salvage by interjecting his humor throughout. Opie has ranted about Stern, management, old bosses, other radio hosts, etc. etc. and it's always just to defend himself and trash people he has personal beef with.

It's never anything any of the listeners care about, it's just wasted airtime that bores the listeners, and it's shit he needs to get over to provide a good show to his audience. I'm sure Ant agreed in a lot of the beefs, but he does his best to salvage the show when Opie has completely forgotten that it needs to be fun for the fans, it isn't just a place for him to vent his personal frustrations. Ant consistently saved the show from Opie's awful direction and also toed the line from stepping on Greggshells, I don't blame him at all for snapping here. Opie gets mad for him making light of his rant, but no one wants to hear his shitty rant. Do it on your own time.

I honestly think the show has gotten dramatically better since the terrible first few weeks without Anthony. Not as good as when he was there, but they're figuring it out slowly. You can also clearly hear him trying to avoid falling into the criticisms we've made. I thought they did a great job with Pete Holmes, they just need to consistently have guests, bits, and callers the way they always did. The two guys sitting around talking about food is what kills the show.

I think Opie does it because it'll piss off everyone here that goes after his personal life.

The difference is that no one here is even angry, in fact, we have a lot of fun. Gregg Pettengill on the other hand is actually getting irritated by everything that we bring to his attention. It's actually affect his mood on and off the air, which is even funnier.
