eh, im on the fence with jimmy. He bitched right beside opie for years about the company holding him back like mud, and the one moment he has a chance to get out and branch out with ant on a new show he stays in the mud. And now that he is 2nd mic, what is he doing? has he been prepping for stories on the show or is he just prepping for interviews, which was always his thing? The last month or so i havent listened except for interview segments with guests i like so i cant really speak for the rest of the show right now, but when i stopped listening daily he wasnt doing that great.

Dude if you were in his position you would have stayed with Sirius-XM. Hell, ANTHONY would have stayed with Sirius-XM. The only reason Anthony is doing his current setup is because there literally aren't other opportunities for that kind of show any more.

i also recognise the failings of Norton since the split but to destroy Opie he needs to feel isolated. you don't want him relating & commiserating with Jimmy about failing popularity as a pair. This PSYOP needs Norton to be perceived as popular as always.

Opieradio isnt going away, atleast for the rest of this contract, so for the time being i want them to get their shit together and start prepping for their radio show. Some people might not like ants show but atleast he is trying to do something, he is prepping for his show and getting live events done and hiring new people. I want them to try and put on a good show instead of sitting in a seat waiting for prep to be put in front of them, they cant fly by the seat of their pants anymore it doesnt work.

How do you know he could've gone on Ant's show? There's no way to know if Ant would've wanted him. He took the easy money, and honestly his humor will be wasted on that shit show for however long he stays, but he's provided me with enough laughs through the years that I wish him nothing but the best and a large enough paycheck for him to afford hookers until the day he dies.

I love Jimmy and think he is a great on the show. What is fucked is that he got a bump in pay off Ant's firing. Yes, I know, not a substantial one. However, that has to be keeping him awake at night.

Jimmy is the best, even with his inability to stay the fuck away from milk products before the show. It seems like an hour or so into the show all of the maddening noises from Jimmy's mic mostly vanish. I'd really like to see the Ron and Jim show, and the Opie and Fez show starting tomorrow.

I never got the feeling ron and jim cared for each other. Jim is just as bad as Ope but the difference is jim has talent and you have to respect talent. Opie on the other hand is convinced he's the star of the show and that Jim and ant should thank him everyday bc of it. For this, I hope he dies from blunt force trauma.

I never thought Jimmy was very funny on his own. His comedy is very one dimensional, as is his personality. What made it entertaining was his interacting with Ant.

What makes Jimmy funny on radio is how quick he is. There's literally nobody quicker on air, aside from Ant.

Opie once asked a caller,"why are you listening then?! If you hate the show just listen to something else". My answer is I listen for lil jimmys one liners. Thought in between his wit it is very hard to endure opie.

Yesterday's Michael Kay audio got really boring, really fast, and I kind of think Jimmy gets passive aggressive with boring shit that opie places in the highest priority. Friday's show was an even more glaring example. Dopie dove right in with more of the same who-gives-a-shit what angry sports man screams audio, so Jimmy took an ongoing Chip/Jim Shit all over it until gregg had to basically plead with him to stop, saying "we were getting into a groove here". Yeah, a groove, meaning a good solid hour where you don't have to injure yourself trying to exercise that worthless dogshit brain.

The worst is that opie really thinks of himself as the master of puppets. "Ooo, ooo, a raqio war, and we're on raqio! Perfect excuse!"

I'll pretty much always love Jimmy because he's given me countless laughs over the years, and for that I'm forever grateful - same for Ant.

Opie on the other hand, has only made me angry.

I don't love him in the slightest. Other people here have pointed out that he's the only thing that keeps anyone listening, so he should not have signed the new contract, and that dumb prick Opie would have been on some irrelevant podcast right now, repeating himself and interrupting other people there. That's not my reason for not ''loving Jim'', that's just something resent.

The best is the absolute dopes on this subreddit that thought Jimmy should have bailed on @Midnight last night. Like he should base his entire career or defending backlash on racial remarks.
