There's very little that works better in the radio format compared to other media. Interviews work better, I think. Stories work better because you can visualize them, like that Patrice prison story or CK and his boat stories.

But that's about it. So when radio people do visual gags or shit that requires you view it to get the full appeal, it's hack bullshit. It's like listening to the audio of Jackass, it doesn't work.

Roland likes them.

Even if it was something "wacky" like eating testicles, it would still be a very hack bit to do. Something the show planned, Opie likely, and during a Nopie show actually did. Vos, Colin, Jim and Ant rightfully bashed it as Zoo Crew "Wacky Wednesday" crap.

Simply eating food on air that isn't disagreeable, like donuts, ketchup, quacamole or KFC, is obviously terrible radio that the show has done far too often.

It's fun to make fun of for its hackiness I guess, but in a 14 hour/week show you have to expect some water treading. There's lots of other things on the show that are much more deserving of actual hate.
