98% of the callers on either O&A, O&J or Ant's show are always awful and rarely add anything to the show. I honestly wish most of you would get killed.

This was because callers to any of those shows were basically foils to be talked over and goofed on.

Ronnie B actually incorporates callers into his show (and he will deliver a swift hangup to boring shitty callers). If Ant really wants to make the shift from O&A to R&F style callers he needs to take note of how Ronnie managed them.

The novelty of the new show has worn off, and watching him comment on Youtube clips, taking pointless phone calls, talking to Keith & Rat, and, of course, going on and on and on and on about race shit has worn extremely thin.

Imagine that.

He needs another comic like Norton, Colin, Nick Dip, Florentine etc to bounce off of. It's no coincidence that his best shows have been the ones with another funny guy. And yes, Ant's a comic. Never agreed with a lot of his politics and race stuff but, when he's on form, Cumia is one of the quickest, funniest cunts around.

This is actually the problem now on both shows. Norton has nobody to bounce things off of, and neither does Ant. Opie contributes nothing in the funny category, so he's moot. When other people come in to the shows, they both light up and it gets really fast and funny. When they have zero comedian guests and zero real topics, it's the audio version of watching someone spin their wheels but not get traction.

Even the best shows get stale at times. I'm sure there will be some news story or some random bullshit that Ant stumbles upon which will breathe new life into the show.

I'm a huge Ant fan, and I loved the early shows. But I find myself not even listening lately. I've got a week's worth of unplayed shows. I get tired of hearing Rat and Keith. Something's gotta change quick.

I'm giving up on Ant's show, too. As others have mentioned, way too much ktc. I love Ant, but he needs someone to play off. Solo does not work. Other reason is no Friday show. Not worth it.

I agree, I'm tired of hearing about Opie on a non Opie show. Ant summed up his feelings on their relationship really well a few weeks back going through the 20 year history. I'm not really sure what's left to say at this point, the boys aren't getting the band back together anytime soon (if ever) so pick your poison in the form of O&J and/or TACS.

When I first started listening to o&a I'd flip channels when they started taking calls. I remember a few times ant seeming annoyed that Opie was taking calls, and he never would during nopie shows. The only reason to do it now is to eat up time, which doesn't bode well for his show.
