I was at an open mic last night, it was the most female comics I've ever seen. I was #21 on the list, out of 20 people before me I think 14 of them were women. It was the same shit out of every one of them, and it's the same shit I hear from 97% of every other fucking female comic. Women are not funny. Im sorry. Yes, there's exceptions to the rule sometimes, but it's fucking rare.
Rarely vaginas, mostly always about dicks. Because they want to show they're "just one a the guys." Here's every single female comic's set: Their mom, creepy guys/bad dates they've been on, shit they've seen on television. And always, ALWAYS refer to the audience as "you guyzz."
It's one of these clubs where at the sign up, there's 40 people there. Then when they see where their name is on the list,it gives them the chance to do one of three things: 1. Hang out outside on the sidewalk (Usually 10-15 people) 2. Leave to get food 3. Leave to do another mic across the street in the meantime.
So by the time YOU get up, unless you're in the first 12 or so, you get like maybe 10 people watching you. I had about 10 people and was mostly guys left by that point. I actually did alright, it was my first time doing a new 5 I wrote and it got a good handful of laughs. For some reason Oxygen network was there taping. Maybe that's why there was so many women?
