"Chris Rock is filming in the Sirius XM building including the Opie & Anthony studio, so Erock decided to wear a fancy collared shirt in the (speculated) hope that he will be singled out and asked to record a cameo. He is ripped apart for this shirt."
Well, its good to see they laid out the entire plot for the movie.
♦ The character has hit it big, but the high life doesn't seem so high.
♦ Not only is he feeling bad, but his talent is fading too. It seems, almost, that he has to play his cards right to stay successful, even if that means marrying someone he doesn't love.
♦ All of a sudden a new woman is introduced into his life, and she is a breath of fresh air.
Que the cheesy part where they have a lot in common and fall in love.
♦ The character realizes there's more to life than just money and success, decides to ditch his popular wife for the woman he loves.
♦Everything works out in the end, he becomes funnier, richer, and most important happy.
That's what Judd Apatow told Adam Sandler during Funny People. I wonder how many millions it made.
No one wants to pay money to see movies anymore. They just want predictable shit. Star Wars is coming back. Fucking everything's coming "back" because no one wants to take a risk.
I thought I remember them saying at the end of a show that Chris Rock was coming in to shoot something and they were all a'cited about it. If so, here it is in this trailer. Looks like their studio, no?
I remember them saying that Chris Rock was filming in a few different studios, and theres was going to be some sort of montage in the movie of Chris going on all these different SiriusXM shows.
So its not out of the realm of possibility for O&A to be in the movie but just not in the trailer...but i wonder if O&A did get edited out due to the firing.
They wouldn't edit Ant out of the movie because he got fired from his job. This movie is full of black actors who understand diversity and culture. Plus it's not like Ant got fired for something race related....
When Rosario says "you need to wake up and smell the progress," it sounds like Joey "Shoulders" Derosa might've contributed a few choice lines to this script. He loves doing favors for Chris Rock and his many, many other black friends. Keep on leaning forward.
"Ben Stiller's in the conference room, these white people don't tell me shit" - HAHAHAHAHAHA. "Ben Stiller's in the conference room, these black people don't tell me shit" - THE MAKERS OF THIS MOVIE SHOULD APOLOGIZE. I AM DEEPLY OFFENDED AT THIS BIGOTRY.

Watching this trailer, I said something I haven't said in a long time: "That Chris Rock movie looks pretty good."

I'm psyched JB Smoove got a role in the movie.
I'm not remotely surprised Kevin Hart is in this movie, along with every other movie.
WHY IN THE HELL is Erock not in this movie? Did the director even see him and his beautiful shirt and hair?

I'd like to see the trailer re-cut with the coke floats song underneath.

Opie & Anthony: Erock's Fancy Shirt (06/25/13)

That was a year and a half ago. Why do movies take so long to make?
1 FaFaFlooey 2014-10-19
They dont, its the selling and distribution that takes so long.
1 fourfingerfilms 2014-10-19
It all takes long.

I want more JB Smoove.

Are you being sarcastic?
2 Spew42 2014-10-19
No, sir. From Louis CK's shitty first movie to Curb to that awful Attell Gong Show remake, I find Smoove pretty damn funny.

On Sam's show he said he'd had some feedback because the film is being shown at festivals and they are in the movie.

Damn, this looks pretty good.

I'm disappointed that they didn't show Tracy Morgan as the angry vegetable.

They'll probably promote this film as his last. Maybe he'll be remembered during award season.
