Borderline Personality Disorder. BPD. The absolute worst disorder a person can have. My (dead) husband had it. My (cunt) mother has it,and I have known many others throughout my life that have it. They have no self identity,no compassion,a fear of abandonment,inappropriate sense of humor and skewed sense of perception. They are narcissistic with low self esteem,pathological liars with no sense of shame. Without a doubt the most hateable people on the planet. It's hereditary,usually passed on by the mother. Who is almost always a complete cunt. Opie is the poster child for BPD. And THAT'S why I cannot stand him.

My ex girlfriend is BPD, and I definitely see a lot of that in Opie. Except a lot of the people with BPD I've met have been of above-average intelligence and reasonably charming. That's certainly not Opie.

I brought this up weeks ago, but from a different angle. Opie, for years, has bitched about his mother and how every circumstance, regardless of what it was, had to be made about her. And this dope, who lacks self-awareness, does the same fucking thing on a daily basis and has been by interrupting some great comedy bits for the sake of interjecting his pointless opinion or general unfunniness.

What's interesting is that you're not really supposed to diagnose people you know, yet we as listeners have heard Opie (and the rest of the show) talk more hours than any therapist they could ever have. If you know anything about general Psychology and types of mental issues, you can really nail down basically everyone on the show. On a regular FM type show it would be hard because their off air personality might be different, but on these shows, they are free to be themselves and talk openly. I'd actually say Ant is the most normal one by far. That goes for Ron and Fez too. You can completely see what Fez is about, and Ron uses him just like he did drugs, pushes it as far as possible until and oopsie, then does damage control, goes clean for a week, and then starts pushing it again.
