I'm shocked they were able to stop focusing on their smartphones long enough to focus on the show for two minutes straight. These two hacks would get lower ratings than the Todd Show if they were on terrestrial radio.
You make a good point about terrestial radio, i would love to see them come in behind scott shannon like shows. Please make this happen, or at least lets speculate on their audience. I say around 60,000 people

The NYC audience reaction to the current incarnation of the Opie show (if it were on a terrestrial station) would make Elliot look like a big success comparatively.

One of the most significant voids since Anthony's termination is the ability to discuss current events in an informed manner. Regardless of whether I agreed or disagreed with Anthony's take on whatever news story they were discussing, I always appreciated that Anthony would share the facts about the story before sharing his own thoughts about the story. On the rare occasions that Anthony got the facts wrong or the facts changed as a news story developed, Anthony had no problem listening to someone pointing out an inaccuracy.
Opie and Jim have no ability to discuss current events in an interesting or informative manner. If neither of them are interested in current events, that's fine; just don't discuss them. If they have any interest in the news, they need to learn the basic facts and read a few articles about the topic because two clueless buffoons trying to discuss something they know absolutely nothing about is not funny or good radio.
