It's a pretty good barometer of the show. When the show is great or taking a turn for the worse, those threads get lots of traffic. When people stop listening or stop giving a shit, they stop looking in those threads.

I was a fan from the WAAF days through Ant's firing and didn't miss a second of the show (unless it was a Danny/Troy "look at me" session) - I've been done for a while but somehow feel compelled to reinforce to myself how core Ant was to the show and how truly awful Opie is at making compelling radio. He is a slimmer framed, larger breasted Scorch.

I think the best barometer is the number of people listening to the show from my private torrent show site. In March 14' 500-550 would download each show. Now it hovers between 300-350. Thats a big decrease, especially from people who listen for free.

R&F: From March to now, they hover really close to 250 listening to each show.

TACS: The show is right around 175 per show.

same here, only when the listening thread is downvoted, and in the 40-50 range comments, only 5% are complimentary, i dont even bother with the file transfer.

I listen regardless, those fucks in the live listening thread are never a good gage on how good the show is on that particular day. They make it seem like the whole show was Ope and Jim talking sports and music.
