He's just crazy. Ari Shaffir has great stories of being an open-micer and Bobby Lee (having Mad TV money) would take him and others to Mexico to fuck hookers (also support Bobby's pharmaceutical addiction). It was his way of welcoming new comics to the Comedy Store in LA.

Bobby Lee is a hilarious racist, I don't see how you could hate the guy. Him calling the lesser Asians, "Jungle Asians" was one of the funniest things I've heard for a while + he killed it on Mad TV.
