I was about to say that Opie had some good throwaway lines that led to great comedy fodder in this. Then, suddenly Opie interjects with "I've never seen someone stir as much as anyone else in the....in...in the name of..uh..hydration."
Then as soon as Opie realizes he can't add ANY comedy to this "Any other Olymipc shit? We did good with that."
Then, when he can't make any funny comments he decides to play the fucking clip again. Jimmy and Anthony are still riffing, and Opie plays the clip of Nixon resigning. Kills the rest of the bit and it's over. From the second he had nothing funny to say he was desperately trying to get out of the bit.
Or was that the bit? Maybe the show has passed me by.
I never realized how shitty Opie truly was till Anthony left.
I love erock. Any time he is on it is hilarious. Ant has this ability to break down erock's situations and erock squirms underneath it defending himself and then throws out insults that you know he doesn't mean but the whole staff goes "OOOOOOHHHHHHH SHIT!" and it's always funny.
