The Golden Tickets of the early days.

Back in ye oldern days of the XM "High Voltage" days O&A were going to fill the channel with hand picked shows that they would hand "golden tickets" out to elevate them out of terrestrial and into the freedom of the future of satellite.

What happened with that? Other than R&F have they ever had other daily shows on their channel? Did they make offers to people that didn' work out or was the whole thing a big lie in the first place.

It was more or less a bit. They never had the authority to hand-pick shows at will and put them on the channel. All decisions like that are made by the company, and they do not surrender that power.

I'm sure O&A had input, but their will was never close to being final.

Xm ran out of money for the channel.

They tried Bog O and Dukes a few weekends ago. I tapped out after half an hour, but it was better than Sam's show.

They gave one to Ron and Fez and then quietly dropped the concept. One of two things happened. Either O and A never found other shows that they could pry away from terrestrial radio (Either they didn't like anything out there or they couldn't get out of contracts). Or they never really had the authority to fully hand out the slots on their channel.

It was probably a combo of the two.
