I wonder if Opie talked to Jimmy straight up and asked if he wants to continue. I think Jimmy just really needs a check at the end of the month. It's a good gig to have. Even if you lose your funny sidekick to the podcast culture. The shows Jimmy did on TACS were fantastic. hopefully he'll keep doing them on the side.
You Opie haters need to find something else to spend your time on. It's an advise. Take it or leave it. Opie has a following that does like him. You can't deny that. He'll do fine. It used to be a perfect combination of Anthony and Opie. It's like prawn crackers. I can't eat prawn and find it disgusting but prawn crackers are delicious. Something like that I think. Either way they're seperated and life goes on. Hating Opie is wasting it on senseless drivel. sub to TACS if you like Ant. Stay with Opie if you like him. Listen to both whatever floats your boat. It ain't that hard.
Based on his twitter following and the calls during the show I think his fanbase is quite solid. I'm just concluding based on that. Don't let the hivemind on this subreddit fool you.
I'm fat (obese really), I have 3 kids and I could barely tolerate Opie when Ant was there and now I can't set through that pompous ass to hear Lil Jimmy - so sad, but that's ok I have TACS.
