I'm still convinced he went behind ant's back to tim to get them switched to afternoons last year. Not only is he not funny or good on the radio. He's a dick.
This entire sub takes very subtle moments from the show or twitter then turns it into very detailed stories as if they were there. The wild theories being thrown around like facts are mindblowing.
I've hated Opie for years, too. He was way too egomaniacal for what he brought to the show, which wasn't much, as far as what I, personally, liked about the Opie and Anthony show.
One thing I hate more than the Opester, though, is neediness. You get no credit.
I haven't cared for Opie for years, but because of the comedians and Anthony and Jimmy he was at least tolerable. I would get annoyed at his interrupting and and his made up stories, but it wasn't enough to make me care enough to complain about. I actually think most people here probably felt the same. The hate only reached the level it's at these last few months because most people weren't aware of how bad Opie was thanks to everyone else carrying him. This sub is mostly filled with listeners from the last few years. It usually takes a few years of listening to realize the drain that is "the Opster".

Since ant got fired and all the other shit has been pointed out repeatedly, its hard for me to even listen to old shows without constantly being annoyed by opie.
Thats why it annoyed me. If anyone else said the stupid shit he has, it would have turned into a 20 minute bashing, but because its opie they rarely out right correct him. Ive noticed a lot of times someone would state the correct answer/point/word, without directly addressing opie, so opie realizes his own mistake.
