Does the show care about this subreddit?

As this falls away (as of now there are only 27 comments on the live show thread) do you think Opie in particular will see this as an obvious reflection of the declining popularity/standard of the show, or will he think he's beaten his 'haters' into submission...

No, but Ant reads it.

And he uses that info to understand what people dislike and corrects the problem.
Unlike some blonde cuckolds which shall not be named.

Hi Ant! you pissy eyed faggot!
3 CookieHaid 2014-10-01
Yes he does.

He got no time for the hate. He has his white knights on Twitter and Facebook to keep his spirits up.

There is nothing more infuriating than their response to one of 'Opie's Joke tweets'. Their attempts to be funny have the opposite effect on me.

It's more pathetic than anything else at this point.

To be fair have you seen the ball washing that happens on Anthonys Twitter? It's a bunch of losers begging Anthony for a retweet. Dude Anthony look at my gun can I get a RT?
5 Mitchull 2014-10-01
I agree, thermitepaint. Opie's ballwashers are lame as fuck. Ant's ball washers are rabidly lame. The world would be a lot better without twitter.

Twitter killed the show for years and eventually lead to Anthony being fired. I hate Twitter.

Wait if I say they don't care does that really mean they do care?

If the scholar Gregg Hughes says it's so, then I'm onboard with that thinking.
He's classically trained in studying people and has been doing so for longer than I've been alive.

When I posted a thread saying that I would call in and asked if others would, they didn't take any phone calls for the next 2 days (they were only on 2 days that week).

Dayum...
Sam mentions reddit some times. I guess he saw your post.

the show hasnt cared about messageboards for 8 years
1 Eternalforms 2014-10-01
Of course they care. Theyre just rationalizing a large amount of people shitting on them on a daily basis. Do you really think opie wouldnt be praising this site if it gave nothing but positive feedback?

I don't think Opie views the total comments and thinks the show is in decline.
I do think he reads this sub and, based on its conversations, knows the show is in decline.
He has made reference to callers (that have valid opinions) that they are haters and should just hang out on their "hater" site.
This is definitely the "hater" site he's referring to. Wackbag would be a distant second - as no one really uses it.

This is the new bit.

Time to shutter the subreddit... Move on to /r/theanthonycumiashow
And /r/opieradio will become as popular as /r/TheToddShow

This sub is hardly reflective of anything it can't even crack 10k subscribers. The crowd here generally seems to be the same type of person. Opie and Anthony hit a much wider range of people. How many truckers do you really think frequent reddit? Not many. Also after 20+ years in the industry I doubt Opie cares to much either. He's made it quite clear he doesn't. Beaten by the haters? There's like 20 people that perpetuate the hate in the worst way everyone else is just critical of Opie and the show right now. Don't allow a loud minority to let you think they're bigger than they really are. They just shout the loudest.
5 HugsMcbear 2014-10-01
*beaten the haters, not by - I was posing an unbiased question. But yeah I agree with some of your points, just wondering what impact people on here think they have, and if it reflects the wider majority.
4 CookieHaid 2014-10-01
YOU are the "loud minority", stupid.
1 breadmoccasin 2014-10-01
I agree completely, it'll take like 6 months, maybe a year before the plebes realize how shitty "that" show is.
