It's more about the lack of honesty and integrity they've shown, and you're right, my entertainment schedule isn't upside down because of this, but I think a lot of people feel annoyed that they listened to someone boast about leaving for months on end (while most of the time others in the room stayed completely silent btw) only to completely do the opposite of what he was said he was going to do.

I doubt he's broke. This is really a reach. For the amount of money Opie has made he lives a realitively frugal life. He's not flashy at all. Has like one car and it's an suv most people can afford. At one point he was making 10 million a year. I didn't say he was broke. I don't think he's broke, I just don't think he has "fuck you money". He still has to work for "the man". Opie isn't that far off from the age a lot of people retire at who made far less than him. You're being unreasonable the reason the re-signed is because he wants to keep doing it and signing with siriusxm was the best garuentee for him. He's also hardly working for the man. He puts in 15 hours a week. It's not like Opie has spent his career blowing money and living lavishly. Despite signing 30 million dollar contracts with CBS radio and a nice pent house apartment Opie really doesn't spend. With siriusxm he's probably been making around 2 million a year since anthony said 3 million was a little high. There's absolutely no way he doesn't have some fuck you cash unless he has a terrible financial advisor which I don't see happening. Both him and Anthony could retire today. Notice how Anthony wasn't sweating about income after he was fired it was more about just doing his own thing. I think the financial success of the podcast was something he didn't expect but he never seemed worried about money. That's because they both can say fuck you.

I think the main thing is the infrastructure, the radio format and their staff. Those are three things that they'd miss if they leave. Ant is having success doing his podcast, but morning drive radio is still a bit of a different beast. They get A lister guests and comics want to come on and promote. And the staff, I mean Erock, Sam, Travis have all been there so long, who knows if any of them financially could afford to leave Sirius. These are three things I think lead to them staying. The fear of change. Ant had a kick in the ass and change forced upon him, that's a much different situation.
