Maybe SXM isn't stocked with total fuckwits and they realized that having Jim walk to TACS would make the show unlistenable instead of merely mediocre. Good job!

I don't think they would have cared if he left. I think they would just cancel the show or let Opie find a new cohost. Firing Ant was proof that all of them are expendable to the company. It's just easier to keep Opie and have him promote his show to the people that already listened rather than hire someone new and try to get a new fanbase to grow for a new show. It's just easier to keep him. I'm sure they know the show sucks but that's not what they're concerned about.

The show sucks, but it's still on the air because Sirius knows idiots will pay to listen to a name they know.

Opie has become Oprah, but he is being paid much less and doesn't care as much about his radio show.
