It could be Ant passive aggressively shitting on Opie, but that could be a stretch. Despite the fact that Ant read reddit and even callers to the OnA show made it clear that they hated Opie talking about his kids.

Without context it's harder to say for sure. Ant sure has the "Ooops? Wrong link" defense to cover his tracks.

I don't think Ant would be the first one to take a public shot. I think Opie is saving it for when he gets really really desperate for something to talk about. Antony is still trying to create comedy while Opie just wants to coast off of what "he's" already done.

I don't think the two guys dislike each other. Believe me, they're both WELL aware of each others' faults, but how could they not be after 20 years?

I definitely don't see Ant throwing Opie under the bus....

But the thing is, Opie pretty much ONLY has faults. He can drive the console and make people uncomfortable. Opie has this arrested development thing where he hasn't learned anything new in those 20 years

Remember the intro from like last year, "Anthony Cumia an alcoholic, Jim Norton, lover of the transgendered, Gregg Hughes, a father" Wow, one of those things is not at all self deprecating, interesting, or even like un-complimentary while the rest are.

Why not "Gregg Hughes, THE DESTROYER" even, or "the psychopath". It just bugged me every time I heard it. Who the fuck wants a host who describes themselves as "A father" on a comedy show while the other two guys are drunks and dicksuckers? That was yesterday's problem, though.

That's classic "morning show" schtick, two wild and crazy guys and a "hole" to keep them in line. So you have the alcoholic and the sex fiend and the father figure trying to keep order.

So at best, he's a hole.

It has to be so much more gratifying to hear what the fans are saying. Nothing Ant could say could cut as deep. Ant won't take the first shot.

That video was/is on the front page of either this subreddit or the one for Anthony's show so he might have had that tab open and copied the wrong link. I don't think there's anything more to it than that.

Has anyone actually called Ant show and asked him to shit on Opie yet? Ask him what his thinks of the quality of the show has been since he left.

They have and the callers need to get it through their domes that Ant won't shit on Opie on his show. At least not yet...

In Nortons first appearance they talked about what the show had become, and Ant mentioned how difficult it would be in Ope's and Jimmy's position, being forced to reinvent the show practically overnight.
