Where does the show go now that O & J have re-signed?

Do you think they'll make any major changes? Is Florentine the new 3rd mic?

obscurity.. sorry to say.

3rd mics cost money and they know enough desperate comics who will work for plugs.

"Hoo hoo, they're ripping me off again, Robin."

Down the shitter

I fucking can't stand Florentine. Stop it already with the "I'm the authority on what's cool" bullshit. It's not funny, it's not interesting, it just makes you look like a faggot.

I read that in Jim's voice.

I know this is expected, but I honestly blame Opie for that. It's the only angle he knows how to take with Florentine and he drives it into the ground like everything else.

Lol yeah, but that's not what I was going for honestly.

Yes, because we all know YOU are the authority on coolness... I mean, your hardcore edgy attitude, witty screen name, and choice of website is all I need to know.

A fucking grown ass man in white sneakers, designer jeans and a black concert tee, who STILL hangs on to 3rd rate hair metal bands that were never cool. Yeah thats the litmus test of too hip. And frankly a lot of his stories seem to have the truth of and Opie story

Somewhere between obscurity and mediocrity.

I don't think they have the right to Jocktober anyone anymore so that needs to end now unfortunately.

They are trying for the show to be more female friendly and pretend they have girls listening. Please let the joke be complete and hire a hole for them.

Oh God, please, please - I'd tune in for that

I hope not. Too much of him is a fucking downer.

Where does the show go? Downhill is my best guess

perfectly into jocktober. /end of an era

It has already plunged off a cliff so I think the only direction is down.

Did they announce that they resigned?

Not officially but Ant mentioned they both resigned on his show the other day.

What pussies.

Fuck, i was hoping so much Jimmy would join up with Ant, now that would be a great show!

They'll try a little harder to make something of it but not hard enough to restore the show to its former glory.

They don't want it to suck but I don't think they'll care enough to make it great.

They'll try a little

Probably not, that seems to be way beyond what they are capable of

I don't necessarily think that's the case. I think Ant is the one with the balls, and Opie is too afraid to truly piss anyone off. He's not Opie the Destroyer anymore (that act is fucking gone.) He's Greg Hughes, the pandering twat who wants Penn Jilette to think he's cool.

I know that Penn comment was random, but I listened to the podcast replay just last night and it bugs the shit out of me the way Opie tries so damn hard, "I know! It's a sickness! I do it to, see!?" Yeah, maybe in 2008, asshole.

Here is what I see happening. They get worse and worse and worse until some point where Opie actually realizes what utter complete shit the show has become, and then he does something incredibly stupid and "outrageous" and gets fired.

Bring in Soder and Big Jay to the show. Just one fucking encore, then new shows from the staff or a rotation of podcasts from friends of the show.

bobo for third mic

Alright!

SXM is pocketing Ant's pay and giving Opie, Jim and the staff paycuts. There is no way they'll splurge for a 3rd mic.

Its all plug-desperate people and favors now. When that runs dry, if the show goes back to 20 hours a week, Opie and Jim will have to carry that without a pleading call to a stand up buddy and it will be a dumpster fire of a show.

SXM is pocketing Ant's pay and giving Opie, Jim and the staff paycuts.

Where did you read/hear that?

Slow, whimpering death.

Two months ago, I would have said Opie (AKA The Creator) would do everything he could to keep the quality of the show high.

But, after listening to two months of mediocre radio, I think Opie is content with being sub-par. He doesn't care about the show or the audience.

Honestly, all I've heard is one giant FU to the listeners. And his re-signing means he will continue to destroy the show and his fan base for years to come.

And, to anyone who says Opie doesn't owe us anything: get bent. We don't owe Opie anything, he owes us a show worth listening to. His show isn't free, is a luxury for some and now has direct (TACS) competition.

Calling these last two months of O&J "mediocre" is an insult to mediocrity.

And as scary as it is, I think this is him actually trying. In order to mail it in, you have to have some "it" to begin with, and he doesn't.

Exactly. I think he is trying and for the most part, he thinks the shows he and jimmy are doing is actually good.

It's kind of funny and sad that after mocking Howard Stern for "checking out"....they seem to have done the same thing.

Granted, they were right about Stern.

stern is on a very popular TV show, these guys are accepting mediocrity.

Ugh...I wish Opie would just disappear or turn into Ant.

I don't think it goes anywhere, that's the problem.

They will continue to go down the toilet

Right in the 'ole Lumberyard

PLOOP

somewhere that's not my car.

They will be running "the bit" into the ground.
