I've officially stopped listening and I don't feel like I'm missing anything of importance. The complete lack of any enthusiasm or focus has made the show completely unbearable. I loved Opie saying he immediately knew the song when the first part was played and a minute later when Jim didn't recognize it Opie then said that he had never heard it before.

I wish I could do a compilation of the times I've heard him never hear of something, someone says what it is, and he claims he knew that. Then, he can't provide any info, and lets other talk and when they reveal details, he echoes it, etc. as if he is the one actually saying it.

I don't listen to the show anymore, I tuned in just to hear the Sizemore segment because I wanted to see if Jimmy would mention a certain something to Tom. He walks in and goes "Which one's Opie & who's Jimmy?" Opie goes "Cmon Tom, you don't know which one of us is Jimmy?" And Norton goes "Of course he doesn't," clearly annoyed. I got ten minutes in and couldn't take another second, it was unlistenable.

I only follow Opie on IG, and I'm pretty dubious of the comments. One person said "it was one of the best interviews they've ever heard." So many of the comments are so over the top glowing it almost seems fake. I don't know.

For like a minute I was collaborating with Sizemore on some shit last year. We did one thing and were supposed to do more (I got Tom and Kirk Fox together) and Jimmy was supposed to be in part 2. But then Tom blew it up with his infamous appearance last year. I'd still talk to Jimmy about it now & again and wanted to see if he'd mention it, it's been a while. Tom loved it and loved the character, and we were gonna do kind of a series. Part 2 he's digging at a church dumpster, and Jimmy comes out as a priest & they get into it. I wrote his as the "Christian Jimmy" character and was so psyched to see that come to life. Jimmy loved it too and really wanted to do it, which was a great compliment. He called me on my cell about it one day out of the fucking blue, and I was so caught off guard. He was like "Hey, it's Jim Norton." I was like 'What??' It might be my favorite sketch I've ever written, I don't think it will ever see the light of day. The only other guy I could see taking over as "the Bum" was Stanhope, who really liked it but was like "Im never in LA, man." Life is gay.

Congratulations! That was excellent: well shot, well written (I laughed more than a few times) and great performances. You're very talented. I really appreciate you sharing that.
