Any idea on how much the SiriusXM ratings have dropped?

I for one have only sporadically listened to Opie & Jim show, when for the past few years I was O&A basically every day.
Edit: I mean of their show/time slot, not SiriusXM as a whole...

No one knows the ratings ever. They keep that secret. Everything you hear here is speculation.

This has always been the go-to line to cover up the embarrassing ratings.

Not paying Ant will make it cost effective too.

Outside of the internet listeners, I doubt they even know.
Back in the early days of XM there used to be user surveys as to what channels you were listening to- I haven't had one of those since the merger.

With today's technology and the fact that the recovers all have special bar code numbers I guarantee they can track. They just force all the on air talent to contribute to the lie. Has anyone tried to ask Anthony about this on his new show?

I just bought a car this year. Dealerships are still pushing sxm satellite radio in cars hard. Big advertisements for sxm all over the place. They even offer deals. Sxm has contracts with most big car companies for like the next 10 years and sxm has shown significant interest in buying up other mobile in car companies. They bought a navigational company and showed interest in Pandora. They've got 25 millions subs and it's something like a 20 billion dollar company. They're doing fine right now. As long as there's truck drivers Opie will always have listeners. Truck drivers aren't going anywhere.

I DON'T MEAN THE FUCKING COMPANY, I MEAN FOR THEIR SHOW/CHANNEL ...

U mad? I said as long as there's truck drivers the show will always have listeners. The people tuning out seem to be the younger crowd of Opie and Anthony fans that were pirating the show anyway. I doubt they're hurting. Also the current state of the company has a lot to do with what people are listening too and potential growth of the show especially after losing ant.

Exactly, it's the serial killers and the Bobos and the Stalker Pattis of whom Opie always wondered aloud, "Why do you listen to our show, why do you like it?"

Lol, rage much?

Hopefully that automation technology is coming along quickly.

The Oprah and Jenny McCarthy channels have surely drawn in new subs from people who are too ignorant to find other means of enjoying the content. SXM is likely doing juuust fine.

Face it: we are not like most SXM subscribers. I don't know anyone under 40 who pays for SXM these days.

Yea, I'm sure O&A and Oprah have very similar fan bases.

I don't know if you've ever seen an actual Sirius/XM radio, but maybe you're aware that Sirius has more than one channel and probably a lot of O&A listeners also listen to other channels. Have you heard the housewives calling in lately? We can never know for certain, but I would imagine a great deal of O&A's listeners have never even heard of reddit, either.

Yea, I listen to the classic rock channels, I'm just saying Oprah and O&A are completely different shows that probably, for the most part, don't share the same fan based.
1 freshmozz 2014-09-23
When did I ever say they shared the same audience? I'm saying that SXM is doing just fine catering to its primary demographic which apparently includes Oprah and Jenny McCarthy fans.
