His social media is all garbage/hack videos and his Instagram is beach photos.... I quit following all of it recently, but should have stopped about the same time he got married!
The majority of the time I like him. I think he knows how to run a show and says some stuff that has made Ant and Jimmy laugh. He's not without faults ( interrupting, bad jokes, try to relate too much) but I like the guy.
He's good with other people. He can't survive on his own at this level of pay, but he knows enough people to make something work.
But he can't take advice at this point. I believe he is struggling with what to do next and not trying to fix what currently "is".
As weird as it sounds he's in the tougher position than Ant after the firing debacle. Ant could go on his own and craft his own show, and with his talent and comedic ability it will at least be entertaining, if not as good as O&A.
Opie was left on the old show with the old staff and Jimmy and the fact that he's there with them and in that slot, people expect the same quality. He's right when he brings that point up, that with Ant leaving, it's a massive part of the show and it is impossible for them to do the same show they had done.
So it leaves him trying to make the show as similar to O&A as possible and failing because that's a daunting task, while Ant got to create his own show so it's not really judged vs. O&A the way O&J is.
