He can't have a serious discussion without either blaming them as the real bad guy, or constantly reaching for hypocrisies. Today when he was saying how the media made Ant this angry about race, it kinda reminded me of their old debates. Where Anthony would be yelling about some black people, and Jimmy would constantly try to bring it back to how the media was the real problem. Even as a total liberal, I had to share Ant's bewilderment whenever he brought it up.

Here's how it works. The internet gives people a forum to go on massive witch hunt after massive witch hunt. And the media encourages it because it profits on it. It's thrown things even more out of balance than they were in the past. It's a bigger problem than even Jimmy thinks it is, if you have any amount of foresight whatsoever.

I saw somebody in Anthony Cumia Show subreddit advocating going to DeRosa's gigs and talking to the owners of the clubs about what an asshole he is. Even putting that guy aside as a lone shithead, I think a lot of the attackers would like to see DeRosa's career suffer for this.

Defend to us why the media is completely innocent when it picks and chooses what it reports on. Defend to us the fact that black on white violence is almost never reported on but every single white on black story gets 24/7 coverage.

Of course he would. That's not my point, my point is that increasingly over the past year Jimmy's been shoving them into arguments whenever he could. Ant would be specifically ranting about some problem he has with the black community, and he would jump in with "your real problem is with the white media". He did it again today, trying to focus on Ant's anger towards the media instead of his anger towards black people. I don't know if he's projecting his own feelings onto him or that's just what he wants to believe. But I think we would all agree that Ant has bigger problems with the black community than he does with the media.

It's actually a convenient way to avoid picking a side on an issue.
Ant believes blacks cause all the problems in the world so has to deal with all the ramifications that conclusion brings. Ant definitely picks sides.
Jim remains neutral by simply blaming the "media", a vague generalized group who can't be held to account.Jim hasn't offended anyone.
