So what exactly do people disagree with about what DeRosa said?

DeRosa's a hypersensitive guy, and I've never been a big fan... but listening to him on Rogan's podcast, I'm not really hearing anything ridiculous regarding Ant (and certainly not anything warranting the virulence that people are expressing).

What, exactly, is so bad about what he said?

“What does it say to my black friends if I still hang out and with Anthony Cumia?”

How about this. Maybe the most bitch thing that's ever been said by a "professional" comedian.

Especially true considering the fact that DeRosa has no friends in the first place.

Well, for one. I didn't like the fact that he said he couldn't hang out with Anthony because he didn't know what to say to his black friends.

The fact that all this boils down to is he got his feelings hurt by Ant when he didn't reply to his tweets. He's an insecure, backstabbing douche who was never particularly funny to begin with.

"I would never ever fucking publicly throw one of my fucking friends who took care of me under the bus even if I wanted to disagree publicly with what he said. Ever." -Jimmy

For me, it's a loyalty issue. Take a look at the two reactions from the podcast:

Rogan: " I don't agree with Anthony on racial issues but he's always been good to me and is a great friend. He is entitled to his opinion."

De Rosa: "I stopped talking to Anthony. What does it say to my black friends if I still hang out with him?...I wouldn't go on TACS to laugh and make jokes, because then I'm giving (Anthony) my stamp of approval."

Both of these guys were good friends with Anthony and understand that O&A is a big reason they are successful.

Rogan is super loyal - and appreciates how Anthony has treated him over the years, even though he disagrees with him on this issue.

De Rosa doesn't care how well Anthony treated him - or how he hung out with him and slept over his house. No, all De Rosa cares about is how this affects him - how his black friends will view him if he continues to talk to Anthony, how the world will view him if he gives Anthony his stamp of approval.

Newsflash De Rosa: No one is looking to you for your stamp of approval...and your black friend doesn't care who you follow on Twitter.

He's a worthless, self centered & self righteous ass.

Derosa just seems like the kind of self obsessed sadbrains sap that falls for infomercials on exercise equipment. I've always thought he was famous because he was good at being a comedian's friend. Apparently, he forgot how to do that!

Everything he said goes against his own occupation.

I don't care that he disagrees with what Anthony said. I don't think anyone cares about that. It's that he ended a friendship because Ant said things he disagreed with. It's not like they even got into an argument that devolved into a screaming match. DeRosa just saw things on Twitter and decided to nullify the friendship without a word. What a strange thing to do. I don't know any grown man who would do that. What's worse though is that he threw Ant under the bus by saying that he could never go on his podcast and have a good time, because that would somehow be an endorsement of all of Ant's opinions. Not only is that a ridiculous notion, but it also implies that Ant's other guests endorse all of his opinions which isn't fair to them.

I'm not sure if I disagree with what he said as opposed to how and why he said it. He didn't call Anthony for a month and was fuming over these "slights" that are only things that should rile up high schoolers, not a man in his 40s. "He called me a name! He only texted me back once, not twice!"

So that put him in his tiff, his tizzy. He vented and trashed Ant for an hour with Rogan as payback. Joe Rogan rightly realized this was petty, vindictive crap that had little to nothing to do with race and explained it as Derosa acting like a little girl who got dumped. A spurned, teenage lover fighting with Ant is no surprise.

i couldnt agree more but im not as privy to all the specifics of their relationship as everyone else on this board is. i haven't listened to the oj response yet so that might explain it.

Especially true considering the fact that DeRosa has no friends in the first place.
