I grew up with Spaceballs, so I love it. But I know anyone even a few years older than me/more old school Brooks fans hate that movie. I hear that quite a bit. That doesn't explain Joe though, he's only a year older than me.
It always bugged me the boys never liked/quoted Ghostbusters, and said it wasn't funny.
Yeah I'm the same age and I loved it too but Ant's making some decent points. Somehow I never realized how lame "we're combing the desert... WITH GIANT COMBS" is.
Yeah but then you get the two black guys with the pick, and one of the greatest lines of the 80s: "We ain't found SHIT." When you're 9, you have no idea how funny that is. When you re-watch it at 19, it's fucking hilarious.
WHAT! That's just crazy talk. Some of the best lines ever were in that movie. The whole scene where Dark Helmet and Col Sanders are watching the movie next to Mr. Radar is fantastic.
