It's time to move on already! Yes, it happened in the past and that provides context for present circumstances, but that in and of itself does not excuse shitty behavior in the present in either instance.

Opie and his supporters need to see that the tidal wave of criticism of him is valid and he needs adjust accordingly if he wants to stay relevant as his radio career moves forward. I'm going to give Opie the benefit of the doubt here by saying he is a good evaluator of talent and not just lucky to have met Ant. Good job! But that does not make you an entertaining radio personality. If anything it makes you a good candidate for a career in management.

And Blacks? Well...they just need to BEHAVE!

Where did this fine eye for talent reputation come from? Ant was looking to get into radio and was doing Howard Stern and through connections to Andrew Dice Clay, he was handed Jim Norton, a funny comic who works brilliantly with Ant but has no chemistry or rapport with despite working with him for nearly 15 years.

Who is the person that is "Opie's boy" that you know he hired and backs? Who did he "scout" since 2001? Sam Roberts? The guy not good enough for an entertainment channel or WWE and cannot carry his own show. The guy who has been in the industry for a decade yet can't do a show better than Erock talking about Dr. Who and The Simpsons for an hour.

I agree with you on the critique of Opie. He had amazing foresight to get Ant and Jimmy - that does not make him sole headline material by proxy. He was amazing when the team was together, but he has no filter to stop the steamrolling, incredulous stories and there is NO chemistry with Jim.
