...you realize that Howard Stern used to describe himself as an entertainer, would state that nothing he said should be taken seriously, and told his audience that his personality on the radio/tv is completely different than how he is in private? In fact, Howard even used to call his show/himself "an act".
Being "honest" has been O&A and Jimmy's thing. Why? I don't know. But it was never Howard's, and he never claimed it was.

I'm a pretty big Zappa fan. There aren't a ton of albums you can throw on and listen to the whole thing, but there are definitely a few I love to listen to all the way through (Apostrophe, Hot Rats). It's hard for an outsider because he has tons of albums and if you pick up the wrong one you're like... the fuck is this? I have to be in the mood, but there are several others I throw on a few times a year. His solos are also great. I could see how someone could say they hate his music.

Frank made money, a lot of money, because he didn't have a record deal, he ran his own label, and kept most of the profits. I believe Frank even explained that to Howard in an interview, but of course it doesn't fit Howard's paradigm now, so it's forgotten.
Frank was a very wealthy man when he died.

Also a composer, a responsible spender, completely and totally sober but an advocate for decriminalization, and a champion against censorship. He's the closest thing to a hero that someone could be without actually saving a life, whether you like his music or not. A very interesting dude. Hate that he died when I was 8.
