Depends, it's hard to pick a certain year. I think the WNEW years were the best. 2nd best was shortly after joining XM and they found their groove, so 06-08. I'd like to say that 09-12 were good too, but I think that's just because I had a renewed passion for the show after 15 years during that time period and I think that's just my biased opinion. 13-14 was certainly a noticeable downhill slide.

I remember there was a week in 2009, I was working at this production company and just drove all day long in LA traffic, every single fucking day was funnier than the last. Louie was in, I think it was when he told the story of him jet skiing and it broke apart in the waves. Every day they had some great guest in that whole week.
The beginning of XM and earlier. I remember everybody was happy, Opie had an authentic excitement in his voice, and he was hilarious. Jimmy was banging prostitutes constantly and talking about it on the air. All the fun contest and debauchery, Wheel Chair Fred, Live appearances, Anthony getting drunk on air, the walkover, and about 100 other things I can think of.
They went from that to "I guess we have get through 4 hours today; so we're going to bring in Big A, and have him read the news for 2 hours which nobody thinks is funny anymore and hasn't for a long time, if ever.
After Big A is done; we'll have Sam talk about wrestling and Hip Hop Black Culture shit that no listeners want to hear. Hopefully Sam will do that until time to go home. If not; I'll tell BoBo to call in and then act annoyed when I take his call.
