13 Days Off To Figure Things Out...

I hope it is an unlucky number for them, the lazy fucks. They are acting like the show won't be renewed.

Did Opie ever respond to the trashing Vos and Bonnie gave him on their podcast? Or has it all blended together and that was after they went on their 2 week break?

What did they say?

They called him a needy manchild who waved to people and was upset if they didn't recognize him. Vos said Opie was a "boob" and going to the grocery store with him was like "taking a little kid shopping." Bonnie made his wife Lynsi sound like a hard-drinking malcontent who called the Hamptons beach house a "dump" repeatedly. They also made fun of him for asking if the hamburgers and hot dogs were done hundreds of times and mocked him for being such an anxious, needy buffoon.

The way they described it, Opie and Lynsi came off as borderline retarded.

Do you know which aired first, Vos and Bonnie's account or Opie's stories about Vos's bad driving, nice shirt, and lack of moral grilling support?

what episode was this? i need to listen.

Episode 133. First 10 minutes or so.

"opie acts like the mayor, he gets upset when people dont notice him"

I would love to hear Bonnie vs Opie, she kinda held her own against Burr and REALLY got under his skin. She'd destroy Opie and it would be fucking great.

Opie has money obviously but I've often thought about how wretched it would be being married to him as a person. He's always struck me as the type that has no common sense, no taste, no intuition and no smarts. He'd give hideous gifts that would end up being secretly given to a thrift shop, he'd book holidays to horrible/filthy places because he can't tell the difference and his attempts to 'help' with housework or parenting would almost certainly make things worse off than they were. He's probably impossible to have a real conversation with, too.

In summary, Rich and Bonnie went out to Opie's Hapton's beach house for a weekend. They said Lynsi kept calling the house 99% of America couldn't afford "a dump" and kept wanting to change everything about it calling it "ugly." They said he gets upset that people walk on the beach in front of his house, then the people that walk out of his "trespass area" he gets upset that don't wave and/or don't "know who he is" (in the sense that he thinks he's Mayor rather then celebrity radio guy.)

He's a panicky Pete always nervous and confused. Ran through the grocery trying to find ketchup and was so cheap he bought the store brand, but then said they were out of Heinz which Vos said wasn't true.

There's more but that's the gist of it.

So does Bonnie just hate everyone now? DeRosa, Burr, and Opie?

Rental houses...partners on a radio show...same thing...what Lynsi wants, Lynsi gets...

Do you know which & Bonnie episode that was? I'd love to listen to it.

Don't know the number but I'm pretty sure that it was the one posted on August 20th. It's in the first 10-15 minutes of the podcast and the rest is un-listenable babble between those two.

Bonnie: "He's (Opie) 80 years older than her (Lynsi)."

13 days with the family? Incoming new real boring kid stories (elevator disappearance, digging in the sand) and some fake stories (the ones that have been pointed out here before) and even more silence now that ant isnt around to feign interest.

The Opester might just pump it up a little.

Ferthashow, fertheshow

I miss that chewed up dick mother fucker. Seems he's not ever on anymore.

Just a lil bit.

You know everything is not an anecdote. You have to discriminate. You choose things that are funny or mildly amusing or interesting. You're a miracle! Your stories have NONE of that. They're not even amusing ACCIDENTALLY! "Honey, I'd like you to meet Del Griffith, he's got some amusing anecodotes for you. Oh and here's a gun so you can blow your brains out. You'll thank me for it." I could tolerate any insurance seminar. For days I could sit there and listen to them go on and on with a big smile on my face. They'd say, "How can you stand it?" I'd say, "'Cause I've been with Del Griffith. I can take ANYTHING." You know what they'd say? They'd say, "I know what you mean. The shower curtain ring guy. Woah." It's like going on a date with a Chatty Cathy doll. I expect you have a little string on your chest, you know, that I pull out and have to snap back. Except I wouldn't pull it out and snap it back - you would. Agh! Agh! Agh! Agh! And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener!

You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, you're right, I talk too much. I also listen too much. I could be a cold-hearted cynic like you, but I don't like to hurt people's feelings. Well, you think what you want about me; I'm not changing. I like...I like me. My wife likes me. My customers like me. Cause I'm the real article. What you see is what you get.

It's a shame Anthony won't be there to tell us his exciting story of drinking all night and playing with a cat before he slept in all day long and then got up and went to his pool. Man those were some thrilling stories.

Which took 30 seconds to tell and were true. The hokum that falls out of Opies jaws lasts for a third of the show.

That is a shame, because Ant is a talented broadcaster and could make it interesting.

Lol sorry gang - that's funny cause it's true as well

I think Jimmy not doing Anthony's show immediately (Chippah call aside), but doing it tomorrow, is a sign that things are leaning towards them not being re-signed.

Or maybe it's a sign that they already have, and Jimmy can "relax" now.

Either way, I find it unlikely that Jimmy was simply unavailable for a good friend for a solid month.

I kinda figured the reason he hadn't done it was either contracts or politics with the ol' Opester.

I doubt Ant wanted him on immediately, he has been talking about how the show is his show and it is different. Having Jimmy on the first week wouldn't help that.

True "dat"

well duh

I spent my last year at the beach house, I really need you to buy my shirts.

Sirius just told me they are firing me and giving Jimmy, Soder and Metzger the channel, they are also airing Anthonys free show on weekends to promote him.

I will be starting my new show on WREK in Palookavile Ohio.

Todds nighttime attitude featuring Opie and Terry Clifford.

I am so happy to be working with such talent, I always respected these jocks, an now we formed a dream team!

I bet he hasn't spent 1 second thinking about the show and this is why we can't stand him.

Oh, absolutely. The Candy Crush Kid has been on autopilot since he bought a smartphone. There isn't one single person expending any effort to better the show with the possible exception of Jim Norton.

They gotta know if they're getting re-upped by now. If they aren't they don't give a shit and if they are that means they are even less committed to bettering the show and are on cruise control.

You know for half a min i actually liked opies candy crush bit when ant was on his endless zimmermen rants, but then i realized that opies job was to move the show along when it got stagnant and not in a passive aggressive way. His attempt at a bit proved his uselessness on the show.

Seriously, he always tried to cut Ant and Jim short whenever they were doing something hilarious but he plays candy crush for an hour of race talk every day for months.

Those stellar shirt designs don't create themselves. The Opester isn't a smart man, they take time.

Just bring Florentine, Soder, Vos, and Bobby Kelly in (mostly Florentine) and then occasionally get the big get (Jeffries, Schumer, Burr etc) and all will be fine

Dont forget that theyre coming back on a wednesday so its a 2 day work week before another 3 days off. I bet faggot opie will bring this fact up and bitch about having to be in

If Lyndsi and Opie ever get divorced; I pray to god he is still on the air! That would be high voiced, Whiney Opie at his finest!
