It's not Opies vacation time it's the staffs which is separate from the show. You really think the staff gets every Friday off? Nope. They come in and still work.
The Friday's off were supposed to end in September... but now that Ant's gone I think they will continue the Friday's off to until at least the new contract because without Ant it's just too much content to create on his own, especially with Jim on the road most weekends.
