I recommend it 10/10 if you're a fan of Jefferies, although I might be biased considering I'm Australian. If you're heaps into the second amendment and are super cunty about it I'd skip the middle.
I'm not exactly sure what you're saying to me. I'm not for or against guns, I truthfully don't give a fuck, I'm just warning people that like guns but don't have a sense of humor about it.
I saw Jim at the Wilbur Theater a few months before he came back to film the special. The show we saw was exactly the same as Bare but the jokes weren't fleshed out as much and he was very much still working on the act.
The Gun bit was incredibly preachy when we saw him. Between what we saw live and what was recorded he toned down the preachiness and punched up some of the jokes to get more laughs.
Also, the Oscar Pistorious bit didn't have an ending. He just kinda trailed off, sat in a chair and talked about random stuff for a few minutes and even responded to some shout outs from the audience. It was pretty entertaining.
Does anybody else not enjoy Jefferies so much in the one hour format? I can't get enough of his O&A appearances and there were several very separate 5-10 minute bits on his special that I loved, but I just didn't enjoy the full solo hour as its own thing like I would with a Louie special.
